Zoya Mateeva

Professor, Dr.

Zoya Mateeva is a professor in the Department of Geography of the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

She has experience in the analysis and assessment of climate resources and risks, the study of their spatial-temporal regularities and specificities, practical and applied aspects of climatic services, strategic climatic planning.

The scientific interests and projects of Zoya Mateeva are in the fields of climatology, human bioclimatology, medical and recreational climatology, climatic renewable energy sources, climate monitoring and early warning systems, bioclimatic redevelopment of urban areas, adaptation to climate change.
