Stela Simeonova is an associate professor at the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She is one of the most experienced experts in Bulgaria dealing with seismic hazard assessment. The scientist has over

37 years of experience in research fields like seismological data analysis and cluster activity, and seismic hazard assessment. She had a teaching experience in Sofia State University, Faculty of Physics (lectures on Seismology and inner structure of the Earth) in seismology and more than 120 scientific publications in national and international journals and reports.
