Davis Dinkov

David Dinkov is assistant professor at the Department of Geography at the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy, and Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He received a MSc in geodesy, cartography and photogrammetry at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy - Sofia (UACEG) (1992), PhD in Cartography and GIS from the Institute of Geography, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 2018. His research and scientific interests are focused on 3D modeling and mapping, computer graphics, GIS, Spatial Analysis and Modelling, Remote Sensing, thematic maps and cartographic products. He is the author of the first three-dimensional panoramic maps for Black Sea and mountain resorts in Bulgaria. He has led teams in the production of GIS, tourist maps and three-dimensional models of protected areas (National and Nature Parks).
